如果您剛註冊某所美國大學, 且不想修已經很拿手課程的學分, 或者您以前在別的大學修過某門課, 但轉學就讀的學校沒承認此門課學分, 美國大學委員會設計了很棒的 CLEP 方案, 可以讓您省錢又省時.
CLEP 全名為 College Level Examination Program （大學程度考試), 這方案立意, 就是為了減少不必要的重複學習.
CLEP 為全美2,900的大學院校所接受, 而且有超過1,700 測試中心.
那要考幾分才算通過呢？ 通常是要過五十, 但實際上還是要看各校的規定. 非在校的人, 每科考試費用, 目前是 77美元, 多數科目考試時間大約九十分鐘長.
如果您所念的學校, 恰巧是 CLEP 測試中心, 那麼您考 CLEP 的費用, 可能更省. 您每考一科目不必花到$77 美元, 而僅是行政手續費用約20-30 美元, 因校而異.
