GED 考試, 原本試場僅限美國與加拿大地區. 後來, 擴及到世界其他國家也有所謂的國際 GED 考場. 台灣的語言測驗中心, 即是亞洲地區主辦 GED的單位所借用的考場之一. 這主辦者是遠在馬來西亞首府吉隆坡的Prometric.com. (網址：www.prometric.com)
台灣的孩子如果想考GED, 台北與高雄皆設有考場, 而且星期一至五, 都有上午與下午的考試時間. 報考的方式有四種, 可透過網路、 電話、 傳真或者通訊郵寄, 詳情請參考http://www.lttc.ntu.edu.tw/ged.htm
台灣的語言測驗中心有關GED考試的網頁中, 對GED有以下描述:
GED測驗全名為Tests of General Educational Development，由美國教育評議會American Council on Education (ACE)所研發，提供應試者檢定證明具備美國一般高中畢業生的基本知識與技能。
此測驗包含5部份：Writing Skills、Social Studies、Science、Interpreting Literature and the Arts、及Mathematics。考試方式除Writing Skills外，其餘皆以選擇題方式來測量應試者程度，考試方向主要是中學畢業生程度的主修知識與技能，不是狹隘的定義或特殊事件等問題。通過考試後由(美國) 緬因州政府核發同等學歷證明。
因為這網頁有關 GED 的描述, 過於精簡無法得知報名費用多少, 考試程序如何與考試者的資格, 於是, 我打了電話到馬來西亞的報考單位, 直接詢問細節. 然而, 主辦報考GED的 Prometric.com 給我的答案, 卻是與在美國境內考GED 有如天壤之別、判若雲泥的答案. (to be continued....待續)

I'm in US. And I have heard that "everyone have three chance for each subject" but I have a question that if I do not pass it when I in America do I still have bonus when go back to Taiwan??

"It is important for applicants to be prepared when they retest, since they can only take the GED® three times in any one calendar year." What you said about "three times" is only within a calendar year, not within your lifetime. I hope this info is helpful to you. Good Luck.
